These Terms of Service apply to your use of oakmere.site and to purchases from Oakmere (“we”, “us”, “our”). By browsing the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund and Returns Policy.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your state, to place an order. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You confirm that the information you give us is accurate.
2. Products and descriptions
We aim to describe our chairs accurately, including materials, dimensions, weight and weight capacity. “PU leather” and “faux leather” mean synthetic upholstery, not genuine leather. Colors may appear slightly different on screen. Specifications may vary slightly because of manufacturing tolerances. We may discontinue products or limit quantities.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Shipping to the 50 states and DC is free. The only extra amount added at checkout is applicable sales tax, shown before you pay. Payment is taken in full when you place your order, by the card brands listed on our Payment Methods page, through our third-party payment processors. You confirm you are authorized to use the payment method you provide. The price you pay is the price displayed when you place the order.
4. Pricing errors
If a product is listed at an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the order before it ships. If we do, we will notify you by email and refund any payment in full.
5. Placing and accepting orders
An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we send an order confirmation and the payment is authorized. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons such as stock unavailability, suspected fraud or a pricing error. If we cancel an order, we will refund you in full.
6. Shipping and delivery
Shipping times and conditions are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the package to the address you gave us. If a package is lost or arrives damaged, we will help resolve it as described in the Shipping Policy.
7. Returns and refunds
Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Refund and Returns Policy.
8. Limited warranty
We provide a limited warranty of 12 months from the delivery date against defects in materials and workmanship under normal home or office use. If a covered defect appears, contact support@oakmere.site with your order number and photos. We will provide replacement parts, replace the chair or refund the order, at our choice. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, improper assembly, modification, exceeding the stated weight capacity, or commercial use beyond what is stated on the product page. This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under law.
9. Assembly and safe use
Most chairs need simple assembly. Please follow the included instructions and the stated weight capacity. We are not responsible for injury or damage caused by improper assembly or use contrary to the instructions, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Reviews and feedback
If you submit a review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display it on our site. Reviews must be honest, lawful and based on your own experience. We may remove content that is abusive, unlawful or misleading, but we do not remove reviews only because they are negative.
11. Intellectual property
The site’s text, layout, logo and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, interfere with its security or operation, use bots or scrapers without permission, send malicious code or spam, or impersonate others.
13. Third-party services
The site relies on third-party tools such as payment processors, hosting providers and shipping carriers. We are not responsible for their services or policies, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted site operation.
14. Disclaimer
Except for the warranty in Section 8 and rights you have under law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”. Some states do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, subject to any consumer rights that give you the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first at support@oakmere.site so we can try to resolve the issue.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
